GIS, Remote Sensing and Artificial Intelligence.

Semester end exam for 6^th semester was concluded on 14^th June, 2014. All students are gone for vacation to spend with their parents. I am still in college to complete my research work on 3-D map of CST (College of Science and Technology) Campus. I should stay till 30^th of June, 2014.

My research on 3-D map of CST (College of Science and Technology) Campus started with exam on GIS, Remote Sensing and Artificial Intelligence.

On the first day (17^th, June, 2014), we discussed about the parameters, objectives, methodology and output of the topic. We also discussed about the software that we required to get output.

My Academic Journey to Spain through the Interweave Project

Under the Interweave Project, I will be traveling to Spain within a short period of time, particularly to the Basque Country. I will be spending my 10-month undergraduate mobility at Mondragon Unibertsitatea.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to those who supported me throughout the application process. Firstly, I would like to thank the International Coordinator, Mr. Roshan Chhetri, Faculty of the Electrical Department (College of Science and Technology), who guided me throughout the application process. I would also like to thank the Head of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, Madam Karma Kelzang Eudon (Madam KK), and Dr. Kazuhiro Muramatsu, Senior Lecturer in the same department.

Madam KK inspired me to apply by giving her full support and helping me whenever I faced difficulties. I would like to sincerely thank you, Madam, for your generous support. Dr. Kazuhiro Muramatsu assisted me with scanning documents whenever I needed help. Indeed, he was always there whenever I needed his support. I would like to thank you, Sir, for your time and assistance. I am also grateful to everyone who supported me directly and indirectly.

I would also like to thank the Interweave Project for providing me with such an opportunity. I believe this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Sometimes we may have time but lack support, and sometimes we may have support but lack time. Once again, thank you very much to the Interweave Project for this wonderful opportunity.

My dream of visiting a foreign country is finally coming true. I look forward to making the most of my stay in Spain and achieving productive outcomes during my time there.

I will write more about my experiences and feelings once I arrive in Spain.

The World Cup 2014.

My team this time will be Italy. It wasn't by heart choice but was lucky draw among friends. I also got Bosnia-Herzegovina to chear up.

Italy, by potential of its player I am sure it will come to second to none this time.

Grateful person to me.

I stand today at where I am and looking back, let me to think more: The support they gave me to reach where I am today. Advice they gave me to stand in front of crowd with discipline. Bravery they gave me to proceed through my way of life.

I have all who support directly or indirectly in my heart. I shall never forget for their support. My only hope for now is to repay them with sincere heart after I am capable

My last post was on 1st May of 2014. Counting the days that I was out  of blogging made me to think for a while but I am still not guilty of that. The days of the May month was tough and busy for me.
Will resume my thought writing after few weeks.

Why Happy Teachers Day?

We know teachers are greatest in the world. They are everything to us. I quote Dzongkha proverb “ཕ་བླ་མ་མེད་པའི་གོ་རིལ་ནང།         བུ་སངས་རྒྱས་རྒྱས་པའི་མིང་ཡང་མེད།          བཀལ་པ་སྟོང་གི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱང། བླ་མ་བདག་ལ་བསྟོན་ནས་འབྱུང།” I unquote. It state that there won’t be Buddha if there is no teacher. All Buddha who attain nirvana are because of their teacher. Knowing the statement, we have to pay our respect to all the teacher of three times, past, present and future as a gratitude. Gratitude doesn’t mean by giving of something but with your pure heart praying for their long and prosperous life mean a lot.  

Pay your gratitude to all teachers of three time. The reason for our respect as per Dzongkha proverb “ཚིག་གཅིག་བསྟོན་པའི་སློབ་དཔོན་ལ། སློབ་དཔོན་ཏག་ཏུ་མ་འཇལ་ན།  ཁྱི་སྐྱེ་བ་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་ལན།          མད་ཆ་ཅན་དུ་སྐྱེ་བར་འབྱུར།” I unquote. It emphasis that if we fail to pay our gratitude to our teachers, we will rebirth as dog in next life for 500 times. We may rebirth as human after 500 times of being born as dog but it is believe we will born with missing sense of organs.

With above two quote, it touches the bottom of my heart sensing the greatest of teachers.

Having read above sentences, let us pay our pure gratitude for their selfless dedication and commitment in their duty.

Inspiring and motivating speech by Dean Academic, CST.

I was inspired by Dean Academic speech made today during the hosting session of assembly (28/4/2014). He started with scaring student. You are done with two third of semester and you are left with one third of semester. Timetable for end semester will out within short period of time (maximum 10 days from today).

Some student who listened might think it was simple strategies when he make speech but those common and simple strategies generally make mistake by everyone of us in daily life.

I could take note of his speech. Below are highlighted point that I could catch up.

·      Happiness,

·      Sleep and

·      Toy/instrument.

 Happiness.

On top of tending to forget doing our scheduled task we disturb serious student at work. For instance when it is time for studying (at 8pm, generally observe as silence hour) students go room to room for gossiping to kill his or her boredom. To students who are genuinely want to study has no option to reject his gossip as Dean has pointed out all student are brought up in the cream of Bhutanese system. If you really want happy within yourself and want to see your friend happy, don’t go to gossip with serious student during silence hour (study hour at 8pm). If you go and gossip with serious student, you are making your friend unhappy as your friend think for sure is, it would better if you go.

Sleep.

In connection with happiness he talks about duration of sleep that we required. He mention three type of sleeps: Under sleep, Normal sleep and Over sleep. If we fall under the category of Under sleep and Over sleep we will have problem. Instead of feeling light you feel drowsy and pain of body. Hope you all have better experience of it. Now what is the solution for above problem? To get solution you have to read sub-topic toys/instrument as follow.

Toys/Instruments.

He used sensitive and unforgettable word like Toys/Instruments. Here Toys/Instrument represent laptop and things that are main factor for wasting time. There is only one weekend in a week but for us every week days are treated as weekend. Every day you watch movies and browsing social media for no purposes at late night.  Here comes the problem by Under sleep. Some student prefer early to bed than watching movies or browsing social media but we never realize how much we sleep and here comes problem by Over sleep. Staying late night result in Under sleep on top of missing morning class that start at 8am. Over sleep is for sure to miss all classes of morning session.

I learn great lesson with his simple and effective speech.

P.S: Instead of going room to room for gossiping, make timer (6 hours) and go to bed. Walk up early when timer walks you up. It will make you happy within and your friend too.

And Dzongkha proverb says: ཕྱི་རུ་ཉལ་མ་ཤེས་རྟ་དང་འདྲ་།དྲོ་པ་ལོང་མ་ཤེས་ཕགཔ་དང་འདྲ་།

“It says one who go to bed at late night are same as horse and one who walk up late in the morning are as same as pig”.
